OPEN WATER River Swims

Our group open water swims will start on Memorial Day and last through the summer. We get together most Saturdays, and many Fridays, depending if there is an event in town that day. Meet at 7:30 am in the public parking lot directly upstream of the Marina Vista Estates townhouse complex on Bradley Blvd in Richland. We drive upstream to the start point and then swim downstream back to the townhouses. Warm water showers from a garden hose are available in Eric & Gail's driveway after the swim. It's mandatory that you bring a large, brighly colored "floaty toy" that you can tether to your ankle to improve your visibility to boats on the river. Also, a wet suit for the early part of the season is strongly recommended. Remember, if you are doing triathlons or open water swims this year the pool is nice, but there is nothing like swimming in the real thing to get you ready.
