| FORMAT1.5 km swim; 40 km bike; 10 km run This is the Fifth and last event in the MultiSport Series Course Description: Swimmers enter the Columbia River near the Kiwanis Building in Columbia Park and swim downstream with the current (fast times, baby) 1.5 km to the first transition. Cyclists head west towards Benton City on Columbia Park Trail and Kennedy Road. A left turn at Dallas road takes the cyclists up and over the biggest hill on the course and down the other side to Jacob Road. A right turn at this point and then to a turnaround point, up the back side of the hill, a right turn on Keene Road and back to Rattlesnake Mountain Brewing Company via Columbia Park Trail. The run is flat and fast along the footpaths of Columbia Park and returning to the Rattlesnake BrewPub. Entry Fee: $29 per Triathlete or per team Registration Deadline: To be pre-registered for The Titanium Man Triathlon, your entry must be received by August 24, 2004. Late registration fees apply after this date. No registration after September 2nd at noon and NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Limit of 200 individuals and 30 teams, so register early! Clothing Option: Special pigment-dyed t-shirt. These are cooler than regular t-shirts, because they are pigment-dyed. T-shirts may not be available unless you pre-register. Day Before Race Schedule: The day before the race we will have packet pickup and a pasta feed at the Rattlesnake Mountain Brewing Company from 6:00-8:00 pm. The Rattlesnake Mountain Brewing Company will have a big, reserved section for triathletes with specials on pasta dinners that night. You gotta eat…so you might as well try some Rattlesnake pasta! Race Day Schedule: On race day, arrive early and be prepared for the following: · 6:30 am – Packet pickup · 8:30 am – Mandatory pre-race meeting · 9:00 am – Race start · 12:30 pm – Course closes Special Considerations: Please note the following: · NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION…in fact, no registration after September 2nd · Maximum of 3 people per team |
