| THE RACE IS OLYMPIC DISTANCE FORMAT 1.5 km swim; 40 km bike; 10 km run This is the Fifth and last event in the MultiSport Series Course Description: Swimmers enter the Columbia River near the Kiwanis Building in Columbia Park and swim downstream with the current (fast times, baby) 1.5 km to the first transition. Cyclists head west toward Benton City on Columbia Park Trail and Keene Road. A left turn at Dallas road takes the cyclists up and over the biggest hill on the course and down the other side to Jacob Road. A right turn at this point and then to a turnaround point, up the back side of the hill, a right turn on Keene Road and back to KIMO's via Columbia Park Trail. The run is flat and fast along the footpaths of Columbia Park and returning to KIMO's. Entry Fee: $35 per Triathlete or per team Registration Deadline: To be pre-registered for The Titanium Man Triathlon, your entry must be received by August 21st (before 9pm if registering on-line). Late registration fees of $10 apply after this date. On-line registration available until August 25th at 9pm. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Limit of 225 individuals and 30 teams On-line Registration: Until 9pm 8/25/2008 ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS: We sympathize with life's uncertainties but it has become time consuming for race organizers to accomodate these requests. Please plan accordingly. Clothing Option: Very cool short-sleeve pigment-dyed t-shirt for an extra $12. In addition, you have the option of purchasing a solid titanium "Titanium Man" bracelet (women's or men's sizes). These options may not be available unless you pre-register. Age Categories: 13-18,19-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-100 Day Before Race Schedule: The day before the race we will have packet pickup and dinner specials at KIMO's from 6:00-8:00 pm. Race Day Schedule: On race day, arrive early and be prepared for the following: · 6:30 am – Packet pickup starts · 8:30 am – Mandatory pre-race meeting · 9:00 am – Race start · 12:30 pm – Course closes Special Considerations: Please note the following: · NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION · Teams consists of a maximum of 3 people Chip Timing: Timing chips will be used to record split and finish times. Timing ships will be distributed race morning at check-in. Cut-Off Times: For course safety reasons, we must pull you from the race if you have not completed the swim after 40 minutes on the race clock or if you have not completed the bike leg after 2 hours and 30 minutes on the race clock.
