Race Format: 2.5 mile run; 10 mile mountain bike; 2.5 mile run
This is the FIRST Event in the MultiSport Series
Kiona Vineyards and Winery in Benton City The race starts with a 2.5 mile run along the
gravel and dirt roads that surround the Kiona Vineyards and
Winery.The run is totally cross country. The cycle leg takes a couple loops via the dirt roads through the Kiona Vineyards and neighboring Klipsun Vineyards, and then taking Artz Road and Sunset Road back to the transition area. After racking your bike, repeat the first run to reach the finish line..
NOTE TO LOCALS Kiona Vineyards and Winery,
Klipsun Vineyards,and Artz Road are all private property. Do not do training rides on these portions of the course without contacting Eric Greager (race director) at sageg@charter.net or (509) 942-7137.
Course training rides begin on Saturday leading up to race day EXCEPT March 15th (St. Pat's Race Day)and will be held every Saturday thereafter until the race. Training rides start at 2pm from Kiona Vineyards and Winery in Benton City
Entry Fee: $18 per duathlete or per team
Registration Deadline: To be pre-registered for The Rage in the Sage, your entry must be received by April 3, 2008 at 9pm. Late registration fees apply after this date. Last day for on-line late registration is April 9,2008 at 9pm. Race day registration will be available.
Clothing Option: A long-sleeve tech fabric shirt for $17. They might not be available unless you pre-register.
Age Categories: 13-18,19-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-100
Race Day Schedule: On race day, arrive early and be prepared for the following:
· 8:00 am – Packet pickup and late registration starts
· 9:00 am – Mandatory pre-race meeting
· 9:30 am – Race start
· Noon – Course closes
Special Considerations: Please note the following:
· Mountain bikes, ONLY
· Maximum of 2 people per team
