About this race

34th ANNUAL COLUMBIA RIVER CLASSIC “The oldest continuously held race in the Tri-Cities” Event Information: This event features a 2-mile and 10-mile run in the park along the Columbia River with an awards ceremony following the race. This is a flat scenic run mainly on bike paths. Both runs begin at the Hampton Inn near Howard Amon Park. Race proceeds to benefit our local Habitat for Humanity New Location: We will be doing registraton and awards at the Hampton Inn located near Howard Amon park. 486 Bradley Blvd Richland . Registration will be in the Columbia Room , Use the river side entrance. Please respect the hotel guests and park at the community center. PLEASE refrain from the hotel’s breakfast. We will provide snacks after the run. If you are from out of town go to www.hamptoninn.com for special rates. The race course has NOT changed. Registration: October 29th - Order short-sleeve 'sport dry' shirts by this date for race day pickup (by 9pm if registering on-line). November 8th - Online and mail-in registration closes. (Please note that on-line registration closes at 9pm.) November 14th-Race Day registration and packet pickup for pre-registered entrants begins at 8:00 AM Hampton Inn, 486 Bradley Blvd, Columbia room. Please use river side entrance. ENTRY FEES: For Runners 13 years and older $16 - Race only (registered before November 8, 2009, (by 9pm if registering on-line)) $36 - Race with short-sleeve 'sport dry' shirt (registered before October 29, 2009 (by 9pm if registering on-line)) For Runners 12 years and under when registering with a parent/guardian $0 - Race only (free registration with completed waiver from parent/guardian) $20 - Race with short-sleeve 'sport dry' shirt adult sizes only (registered before October 29, 2009 (by 9pm if registering on-line)) $15 - Day of race registration (No shirts after October 29, 2009 or on race day registration) Awards: Will be presented for the first three overall finishers, male and female in both races. Additional awards for top three places in each age groups include: 9 and under, 10-14,15-19,20-24 25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64, 65-100 Random Prizes after awards. Water Stations: Will be only provided on the 10 mile run and will be located at roughly the 2.5, 5, and 7.5 mile points of the race. Results: Will be posted on the club's web site at 3rrr.org.
