About this race

The Leprechaun Dash is a one-mile fun run for elementary and middle school students that is held on a closed portion of Columbia Park Trail. Finisher ribbons will be awarded to all children who finish the run. The fun run starts and finishes near R.F. McDougall’s in Columbia Center North. This run is for elementary and middle school students, only. There is NO CHARGE to children to run the Dash…our way of helping kids have some fun and fitness at the same time. We do need all runners to register and parents to sign the entry form for their children. We have a safe, controlled course with the park road being closed for the duration of the race, so parents can let the kids run and wait for them at the finish. This run is for the kids. Parents, if you absolutely, positively must run with your kids, please run with them unofficially (do not register yourself) and start out at the back of the pack. IF YOU ARE OLDER THAN 15 YEARS OLD, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE LEPRECHAUN DASH. What: The Leprechaun Dash is a one mile fun run on an out and back course in Columbia Park. Where: The fun run starts and finishes near R.F. McDougall’s. Prior to the run, stage in the McDougall’s parking lot. Why: Have fun, get healthy and fit, and be true to your school. School Competition:The schools with the greatest number of participants in the Leprechaun Dash (100 finishers minimum) will be awarded $1000 (1st), $600 (2nd), and $400(3rd) toward the purchase of physical education equipment. Entry Fee: There is NO CHARGE to run the Leprechaun Dash. An optional race tech fabric shirt is available for $15.00 to those who register by March 2nd (RECEIVED by March 2nd OR 9pm if registering on-line). Shirts may not be available to those who register after March 2nd, so please get your entry in early. Registration: To register, mail in the form found on the flip side of the "Leprechaun Dash Info" brochure or go to www.3RRR.org to register online. DO NOT MAIL IN ENTRIES AFTER MARCH 1st. After March 1st, you may register on-line until March 8th at 9pm (t-shirt ordering option will not be available) or in person on March 12th at the United Way Building (401 North Young Street in Kennewick) from 4:00 – 6:00 pm or race morning from 7:30 – 9:00 am inside Kimo's. Pre-registered entrants can order a race t-shirt if the entry is RECEIVED by March 2nd (by 9pm if on-line entry). Pick-Up: Pre-registered runners can pick up their race numbers and t-shirts on March 12th at the United Way Building (401 North Young Street in Kennewick) between 4:00 – 6:00 pm or race morning from 7:30 – 9:00 am inside Kimo's.
